It’s going to be a spell before we realize any CMS cloud offering from the likes of Oracle. Acquia have of late set up Drupal Gardens which is a cloud dependent function which feels very promising. There are a host of reasons why we are not flying onto the cloud more quickly, the main reason is organizational change where budgets and contracts are set and presented years for 3, 4 even 5 years. Come replacement time some customers are postulating CMS in the cloud but then have to weigh other subjects such as integrating with CRM & some other back office systems. I believe it will materialise eventually.
